This modpack takes Rico to the ultimate level of chaos.

+Recommendation:
To avoid clicking the aiming button that blocks lock on, bind it to an unused button, for example “scroll lock”

Enemies Spawn Further Away

Makes the enemies spawn further away, less instances of someone appearing right behind you should result.

Heat Rebalanced

This mod is a work in progress. Post any bugs or suggestions in the comments.

A mod that alters various parameters of the heat system with the aim of achieving more sustained and intense combat during heat, along with higher heat levels posing a more genuine threat to the player. Heat is now harder to evade, with soldiers calling for reinforcements much more quickly, and search times being significantly raised across all levels. There is also a greater sense of escalation, with higher chaos point thresholds and an exponential increase in the number of enemies. Hijacking civilian vehicles in view of authorities will also incur heat.

Other changes include:

Armoured DRM spawn alongside regular DRM during heat
DRM can use CS Spectres
DRM can potentially spawn at heat level 2
Bike soldiers can use CS Wraith SMGs
Black Hand Aegis operators spawn alongside Medician soldiers at heat 4 onwards, and can use Automat U12s.
URGA Postolkas spawn at heat level 3 instead of CS Navajos
URGA Hrom Ds spawn at heat 4 onwards
URGA Mstitel spawn at heat 4 onwards

Known Issues:

Vehicles spawned via heat may sometimes disappear suddenly
The game seems to overwhelmingly favour spawning BH soldiers with Automats when given the ability; it may be removed if this is a problem.
The AI use Automats as a semi-automatic weapon
The military zone (northern half of Insula Striate) follows different enemy spawns from the rest of the map, which are currently unaltered by this mod. This will be addressed in a later update
Due to the way the heatspawn system works, it may not be possible limit certain enemies to heat 5 exclusively. This mod will be updated if a way is found.

Celebration Mod Pack

Explosive Ammo

Each weapon can be modified to have high explosive ammo!

From the Minigun to the Shotguns to the SMGs, each weapon can be changed to have explosive ammunition.

BE CAREFUL!!
Enemies gain the explosive upgrade too, there’s no way around this…

Overweight Rico

Rico’s been eating at Mario’s grandmatra’s one too many times, now whenever he ragdolls he’s heavier than a dump truck!

Variety

3 mods in one!

Enemy Spawn Variety:

More variety in enemies that spawn, from Titans to Police Captains!

Regionless Weapon Racks:

Find almost any weapon in the game at almost any weapon rack.

Enemy Weapon Variety:

A tad buggy, enemies will spawn with a larger variety of weapons to attack Rico with!

Nitrous & Turbo Jump Everywhere

Rather self explanatory, every vehicle that spawns has max level turbo jump and max level nitrous!
Including the military!

Sprinting

Finally, Rico learns how to sprint! Rico automatically sprints, but if it’s a bit too fast in-game, either switch versions or hold left control to slow yourself down.

Just Better Heat

Mechs & Drones can spawn to fight alongside the Military!

Don’t want drones? Included are versions that only add Mechs or only add Drones.

And while I was here, I added Bavarium tanks and helicopters as separete versions if you want an extra challenge.

High velocity Freefall

Whenever Rico enters his freefall state, he gains a burst of speed forward at the cost of falling much much faster. Balancing speed with lift can result in crazy fast speeds!

Pull your chute or wingsuit to prevent embarasing faceplants.

Use these different settings to affect how the game loads. Aimed for lower end computers, you could see an increase of up to 15 FPS! Higher end computers won’t experience as drastic changes, however you may find less pop-in occurring
If you are choosing to install a version that increases spawns or textures, make sure you have enough RAM/VRAM!

Perfect Heat

Hello,

Tired of the same enemies spawning over and over again?

Then welcome to my mod!

With my mod, there will be *soon* three factions fighting against you in the heat levels: The Policia, The DRM and the Blackhand.

For now, only the DRM and the Black Hand will fight you, but it will change in an future update!

I’ve also changed the amount of vehicles that’ll spawn and some parameters (for example, speeding, stealing cars…). To compensate this, the enemies will have to call 8 seconds for backup.

I know, the mod is boring for now, but get ready for the future!

Just Cause Realism Mod

Since hour 1 with JC3, most of us can agree that it is too posh; too easy, and that Rico is the ultimate bullet sponge. All he needs is a few seconds of cover to regain all of his lost health, even if he’s near death. Not to mention the fact that his health is seemingly endless, and that all of Di Ravello’s militia are using paintball guns. So, I’ve started this mod project to try and combat this ease with a little more risk.

As of version 1, I’ve simply started off my modifying some bullet damage and Rico’s starting health. Now I know this isn’t the proper way to up the difficulty, but while I’m looking and pouring through the archives, it should serve for the time being. Also, I’ve started to tweak with some of the heat levels and how they operate, trying to bring more real-feeling reinforcements and ambient action to each level and the world around while Rico is slinging bullets with the 5-0.

Always remember to use the wingsuit auto close, or else you might wind up dead!
