This is a mod I made because I can not find a mod that lets you jump an unlimited amount of light years since the Synthesis update.

 

This mod allows you to jump to the core if you want. 

 

Remember to delete the DISABLEMODS.TXT in your PCBANKS folder.

 

This is for Origins update! I’ve tested it and it does work.

 

check the screenshot and look at the jump distance, normally that would say “Out of Jump Range”. Not anymore, so enjoy bouncing around the system in Desolation!

Balanced Hyperdrive Overhaul

This mod attempts to make long range warp travel less painful, while simultaneously maintaining vanilla warp balance, by effectively combining all of your warp fuel into a single, balanced, mega-jump.

 

 

OVERVIEW
The idea of this mod is to emulate a longstanding QoL request; the ability to make longer jumps that consume multiple fuel cells, eliminating the need to have lots of intermediate bunny hops when travelling huge distances.

Even with a jump range of 2500 LY (The upper limit for a fully upgraded explorer or exotic), you’d have to make 280 individual jumps to reach the galactic core. Even if you have a relatively fast PC and the loading screen only takes 10-15 seconds, you’re going to spend the best part of an HOUR watching the warp loading screen in a single trip to the core.

 

 

CHANGES:
To achieve this goal, the mod makes several significant changes:

– Component warp ranges have been changed to reflect their distance-to-fuel value.

– Galaxy map turbo zoom has been accelerated considerably to help course plotting.

– Warp fuel capacity is reduced to ONE jump per tank of fuel.

– Warp cell efficiency is REMOVED from A and S class upgrades.

 

Q. Why did you choose these distance values?

A. The new values reflect how much distance a particular upgrade would add to your maximum range on a single tank of fuel. For a typical component this is five times it’s original value (Since a basic fuel tank will allow you to jump 5 times), for A and S rank components, this is thirty times the original value, since each A/S class component normally doubles the fuel efficiency (And thus maximum travel range), to a maximum of six times efficiency (5 x 6 = 30); plus a little extra to represent the improvement of range that’d normally be gained by multiplying the base hyperdrive by six.

 

Q. Why did you remove the warp efficiency attribute from A/S tier?

A. Because the extra distance gained from the increased fuel efficiency is baked into the new distance calculations. If I left the actual attribute in there, you’d still have to make multiple jumps to reach your maximum possible range, and the goal of this mod to let you go as far as possible, with as few jumps as possible.

 

Q. So is this just another ‘Super long range jump cheat mod?’

A. No, your jump range is completely dependant upon your ship’s components and class based multiplier. Your maximum travel range is pretty close to the distance you’d have traveled in vanilla on the same tank of fuel, except you do it in one jump instead of thirty.

Q. What happens if I make short range jumps?

A. You’ll burn your entire fuel tank. To help with this freighters have not had their travel distances or fuel consumption changed and can provide affordable short range travel.

 

Q. Can I jump with less than a full tank of fuel?

A. No, you will need to completely fill your tank using either 5 fuel cells, or a single hypercore.

 

Q. If I install/remove this, will things still work?

A. Yes. If you add or remove the mod mid-playthrough, currently installed components will update accordingly.

 

Q. Will this work in multiplayer?

A. Theoretically yes. I have not tested it, but I’m under the impression it should still function correctly and without any adverse effects on other players.

Freighter Warp Reactor / Hyperdrive Upgrade recipes (NEXT)

This Mod will give you the chance to collect Freighter Hyperdrive Upgrade recipes.

As I did not found any valid comment on how to earn Freighter Hyperdrive Upgrade recipes in NMS NEXT and because I believe that this is a must have if you can warp with your Freighter, I had decided to create a Mod which will give you the opportunity to find these technology recipes by looting crashed Freighters.

All you need to do is fixing freight containers at Freighter crash sites.

In total there are three recipes to earn (level A, B and C). The reward system will randomly give you a recipe after fixing a broken container (depending on the chance you have choosen). 

Update:
As it turns out not to be possible to change the chance of finding recipes I made two new Versions.
The first version will give you a 6.25% chance of finding one of the recipe by fixing a container. This results from the possible loot which might be in them (15 possible items/money and 1 recipe list = 16). 

The second version will give you a 100% chance of finding the recipes. For this to work I had to disable all other possible items. So you should only use it for learning these recipes and delete the mod after that!

The mod takes no influence on the order of the rewarded recipe! This will be random (e.g. you may will earn level A before C)!

You can also unlock all recipes and delete this mod as it may not work with other mods which are using the REWARDTABLE file!

DECEARING EGG MOD!!! (Multiple mods to make the game more fun)

This is the DECEARING EGG mod. It modifies many different things in the game, all of which may not be in the description (because I’m a ToweL and forgot what I modified).

I created this mod because my friends and I were bored with the vanilla game. We discussed what we thought would make the game a little less boring and we came up with a list of things I tried to address with this mod. This mod modifies a lot of in game mechanics so I am not responsible if your saves get messed up, it causes your computer to crash, or any other problem. I personally have not have any crashes or issues from using this mod.

There are three version of this mod. All have everything listed below, but different modifications to the player/jetpack speed. Please use only one version at a time.

 

Current things modded:

  • Most movement speeds increased, on foot and in your ship.
  • Your ship can hover, go backwards, and fly underwater.
  • Health regeneration increased.
  • Terrain editor tool has bigger remove tool and uses no energy.
  • Ship has no launch cost, no pulse engine cost, and can do 42 jumps on one warp cell.
  • Warpdrive range increase to 110 million lightyears (I think).
  • Ability to build freighter base items in your planet base and build planet base items in your freighter.
  • Stack sizes of most items increased 42 times.
  • Storms should never happen.
  • Most weapons should take a really long time to overheat now.
  • Mining speed is faster for the Multitool
  • You can now access your ship inventory from really far away.
  • Instant scanner recharge
  • Instant scan for plants and animals etc.
  • Greatly increased scan distance.
  • You can now use unlimited technology upgrade modules.
  • Increased health a bit because I can’t figure out how to stop the fall damage.
  • Unlimited life support energy.

The galaxy map screenshot only shows up to 1300, i didn’t have time to go further. The mod shown in the screenshots is the 2000000 ly one, my ship was by default at 153 ly max jump distance or something like that.

Freighter Captains Sell Hyperdrive Boosters

If you think that Polo is holding out on you, this mod makes it so you can acquire Hyperdrive Booster Technology and Atlas Pass recipes earlier (and more reliably) in your playthrough.

Freighter captains will sell you Hyperdrive Boosters in stages. Construction Managers (Gek builder in every space station) will offer all Atlas Pass recipes in one trade. Each mod variation includes both vendor upgrades.

VARIATIONS (Hyperdrive)

  • Free: Captains will invest in your success, in hope that you eventually buy their freighter.
  • Milestone: Captains will invest in your success, but only if you have seen some of the galaxy. Requires exploration milestones 3 (Red Stars), 5 (Green Stars), 7 (Blue Stars).
  • Units: Captains share their knowledge, but for a price. Requires units 250000 (Red Stars), 500000 (Green Stars), 750000 (Blue Stars).

VARIATIONS (Atlas Pass)

  • Free: Construction Managers donate the Atlas Pass recipes, FriendGek.
  • Milestone: Construction Managers will trade knowledge for Atlas Pass recipes. Requires general milestone 3.
  • Units: Construction Managers tap into the black market for a price. Requires units 150000.
