Colorful Shuttles for BEYOND

A simple mod that changes the color palette for shuttles to be more like other ships. Done with text editing of SHUTTLE.TEXTURE.MBIN. Any mods that modify this file won’t be compatible (unlikely). No textures edited.

Horizontal Wings for Exotic Ships

From the second I saw the new Exotic Ships, I thought of the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop.

I was sad to see that the wings folded completely under the ship instead of staying extended Horizontaly.

This minor tweak makes all Type A wings for Exotic Ships extend out Horizontally instead of collapsing vertically.

NOTE

I’m not a pro modder at this game, so if future updates break this mod, I can’t guarantee that I can fix it.

Fewer AI Starships (Work in Progress)

Simple mod which reduces the number of starships you’ll see flying about on your adventures.

Work in progress, I’m still tinkering with the numbers to see the difference it makes.

Affects ships you’ll see in space (freighters warping in, floating in space; and the trader ships similar to your own ship).

Affects ships you’ll see on planet (overhead flybys of AI ships) – reduced numbers and increased the distance at which they spawn, so hopefully you should see less (seems that way from my small amount of testing)

Shout out to Deckydoodles’ Busier Space, which helped me find the file to tweak for this mod! ?

I haven’t altered the pirate spawns in this mod.

Any mod which changes the number of spaceships will conflict with this, and either not work or override it. (i.e. the file: EXPERIENCESPAWNTABLE.MBIN)

-About this mod:

This mod allows you to change the appearance of all the ships, including your actual ship, to any of the four available player ship classes.

It does not require a new game, and it does not modify the real ship classes that are stored in your savegame files, or the ones in the game files, it only changes the look in game.

It is Strictly an esthetic mod.

-How to use:

Once the mod is installed, load your game and you are good to go! Your ship will already have its appearance changed, including the starting ship if you are still using it!

When visiting the space stations (the best place), or trade posts; any place where ships land, all the ships will have the chosen class’s general appearance; with random ship parts of that class.

Important: Every system has a random maximum ammount of ships that can spawn in it (from 2-3 up to who knows; maybe 6 or more), so to spawn new ones; go to the next system and ships with new random parts will appear.
