Anime Accurate SFX

This Mod was created to recreate The DBZ Franchise's SFX into Xenoverse 2. I will continue to produce updates through my work and with your suggestions. Please keep in mind this is my first step into modifying Xenoverse 2 so this won't be perfect, but I'm willing to work on it!

Place the Saga's 2 CMN files in the common folder which is located within the sound and battle folder.

Then place the Skills folder in the skills folder within the same battle folder mentioned earlier.

V3.6- Moving forward I'm going to start making SFX Packs for each saga. This new update has the Cell Saga. Hope you enjoy!

*The Entire Changelog history has now been turned into a document included in the mod folder itself.

V3.7- Cell Saga updated & Saiyan Saga released :)

V3.8- Both the Saiyan Saga and Cell Saga have seen some changes. Firstly, I've implemented accurate vanish SFX this time around, and not just the main vanish but the 2 secondary vanishes as well. Secondly, I've added new punch swings without bombarding your ears. Since I realized I didn't need to add a lot for the change to be noticeable. I went for a balance of what's already in the game and sounds straight from the anime. Thirdly, I've re-synced all punches to the animations in the game to the best of my ability. Also, I made sure to change the heavy punches to sound nicer during long combos. Since that was an issue that I had found somewhat annoying previously. *Small & Medium Punches have also seen either new SFX or been cleaned up. Lastly, I've started reworking some skills and I'd appreciate feedback If you're up to it. Here's a list: Kamehameha, Bending Kamehameha, Spirit Bomb, Instant Transmission, Kaioken Assault, Kaioken Kamehameha, Afterimage Strike, X10 Kamehameha, Consecutive Energy Blast, & All Kaioken Levels. Thanks for your support and feedback!

V3.9 The Frieza Saga and Buu Saga have been completed. All Sagas have been updated with new punch swings. This is most likely the final version of this mod. If anyone has any changes or suggestions they would like me to implement, I may consider them depending on how challenging the change may be. Thanks for everything you all and I hope you enjoy! :)

  1. Question: why do some skills not have SFX from previous update? I remembered Final Flash, Big Bang Attack, Time Skip/Tremor Pulse etc. had anime accurate SFX. I’m also wondering if you make another SFX or other projects you have in mind in the future modding.

    1. I scrapped all the skills SFX and started from scratch because I felt that, some of the SFX’s quality felt either scratchy or too long. So, I decided to start over and this is the result. However, I do plan to go back and use the skills I had previously scrapped.

Suppose I were to make any other SFX projects. I would probably base it on DBS. However, I’m having trouble remembering whether the movies used any exclusive SFX. Because when I watched DBS Broly I felt like the sound design felt different. However, that could just be the way they used the base DBS SFX in movie production. * Someone also requested a realistic SFX pack. Which I’m still conflicted about. I feel like it wouldn’t match the tone or feel of the game, which is cartoony. But who knows maybe I’ll try it in the future.

      1. That’s cool, man. If theres any feedback, I would like for Ultimate skills have anime accurate SFX. And yes, I remembered there’s ki blast SFX used in the DBS movie that is not in the anime (CMIIW). Since there’s a resource of Dragon Ball Legends SFX in the mod page, what about DBL SFX? ….just start what you want to do, sorry for being too much.

    2. Thanks for your continued support! It’s greatly appreciated. If you have any personal requests or suggestions feel free to let me know. If you’d want to chat on Discord just let me know about something you’d like to implement just let me know anytime.

  2. I’m confused. Inside the sound folder, there are the SE and VOX folders, and inside both of those, there’s the battle folder, which in turn contains the chara and skill folders. So where should the sound mods go?

  3. Revamp CAR_BTL_CMN have one extra audio line at the end of the list, I’d recommend you to hop on revamp discord server and ask them if you can add it into your acb. They will likely allow it, and you will be able to just put file with extra line as main file, it will work fine for people with or without revamp installed. And Revamp fans who can’t do it themselves for sure will like you doing it.

    1. Thanks for the support and feedback it means a lot considering how much time this took to do alone. While it wasn’t exactly difficult, it was time-consuming to fix audio levels and the many tests.
I also appreciate you noticing how much this doesn’t contrast with the base game, as that was my main goal for the entirety of this mod moving forward from V3.6.

I’d agree that I have achieved the perfect balance but maybe that opinion will change with feedback from others or just my opinion changing in the future. But now that I’m finished with this I’m curious to see what I should work on next maybe modeling in blender but that seems crazy difficult 😅.

        1. Thanks for the support! As for the realistic SFX, I’ve never thought about that. I bet I could do a decent job but I don’t know how well it would mesh with the game. So for now I’ll hold off on that idea. But maybe in the near future. 😎

  4. Hi!! Found a problem when using the “Guard Charge” mod: theres no sound while charging 🙁
Is that something to do with compatibility or do i just switch something in one of the character files and call it a day?

Legit my only problem with the mod, you kicked ass with this bro!

    1. Hey, If you’re referencing the mod called “Built-In Ki Charge-Guarge” by Sportiax. I’m not entirely positive about whether my mod has a combability issue with his mod. The latest comment under his mod seems to have the same issue as you. This leads me to believe that it is an issue with the SFX within the “Guard Charge” mod itself. *(If this isn’t the mod you were talking about please correct me 😅)

Did the no sound issue arise after you installed my mod or is it something that existed even before my mods installation? Whatever the case may be I’d like to help you. But I admittedly don’t know how to solve this problem… Since my mod hasn’t had a combability issue that I could recognize thus far.

Thanks again for the support, I hope to continue kicking ass bro!

    1. While Ideally there shouldn’t be any combability issues. Unfortunately, I haven’t tested Revamp with my mod to be totally sure that’s the case.
But I can Imagine the order you install my SFX might possibly matter. So, I’d recommend adding my SFX Pack after installing Revamp.
If you run into any problems please feel free to let me know.

    1. Thanks for the support. I greatly appreciate it. If you enjoyed this then I hope you stick around for the release of the other Saga’s. They may sound even better depending on your preferences.

*The Hud in the showcase was created by “Kristal Hope”. You can find it for free on his Patreon👍.

  5. Wait I’m a bit confused can someone help me? I’ve never install sound mods before, when i dragged this to my data folder nothing happened, do I have to put the contents inside the Anime Accurate SFX Folder inside of the data folder? much would be apprectiated.

    1. No worries, all you have to do is open the DBZ Battle Sound Effects folder, then you’ll see the sound folder, at that point, you can copy and paste the sound folder into your data folder. Hopefully, this answers all questions, please don’t forget to refer to the installation tab for instructions.

    1. Thank you so much, I appreciate the praise. I’m going to make it a priority to fix the Flying Loop SFX in the next update, but keep in mind that since my goal is to push for consistent updates, I might have to wait for the next update to roll out that fix.
