Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Additional Music Pack (30+ Music Tracks!)

'Ey guys, it's J-Man, back at it again with yet another music mod. Last time, I brought the music of Tenkaichi 3 to the game. This time, I'm traveling back to the past again to cover the game that came before it, Tenkaichi 2!

Just like my other music packs, this pack rips the music directly from the source game, and adds them as extra music options in Xenoverse 2, that can be played in the lobby, versus battles, quests, or in the Hero Colosseum! Much like Tenkaichi 3's music, these tracks weren't originally made with perfect seamless looping in mind (in Tenkaichi 2, these tracks have defined endings, will end, and simply just restart and repeat again and again), and I didn't really wanna cut out chunks of the music just to make an attempt at seamlessly looping music that was never made to, so once again, to preserve the full lengths of these tracks, as well as to try and not make things too awkward when the music obviously ends, I had to get creative for how I looped a handful of this music. Just like my last music pack, there's also a randomizer option included here. On top of all that, there will be two options within the installer, allowing you to either install every single track all at once, or just choose some specific ones you'd like out of the entire list.

Tenkaichi 2 (and the Tenkaichi games in general tbh) is a pretty nostalgic game for me, and it's soundtrack has a pretty nice variety that I have quite a bit of fondness for, and I know a lot of people feel the same way, so I enjoyed making this mod, and hopefully you guys will enjoy using it!

Some quick, important notes/precautions before installing

  1. The audio cue editor's randomizing feature is a bit quirky. Sometimes, instead of picking a random song to play, the game will just choose to play nothing at all. If this ever happens to you, just go into the pause menu, and into your music options, then keep pressing the "Replay BGM" input until you start to hear music. Re-select the random option from there and the issue should be alleviated.
  2. For the people that like to use my music packs, something I've unfortunately come to realize while testing this music pack is that, from what I've observed, Xenoverse seems to have a fairly small, (for the scope that I make an effort to reach with my mods) and weirdly functioning cap for how much total extra music in the game can be installed and actually function at a time. Keyword, function, since, for whatever reason, any music tracks that get installed beyond around a 200+ track cap will be installed into your game, can be seen in the music options, and can even be listened to with the "Replay BGM" input, but once you try to actually select one of these tracks, the game will automatically choose to play one of the vanilla game's tracks instead, so you can't actually play the game with that music. In other words, keep that in mind when trying to play with multiple music mods installed at a time. Hopefully this isn't too much of an inconvenience for anybody out there.

My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078

I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)

Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, choose from the two options given to either install every single track all at once, or choose specific ones from the selection. If you choose the latter, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!

1.0: Release

1.1: Installer has been reworked to where you have options between installing every single track all at once (just like before), or picking and choosing specific tracks you’d like in your game the most.
