Cornrows Hairstyle for Human/Saiyan Males

Ok so I was able to use the cornrows like hairstyle from the XV1 true majin race mod by CaliKingz01 (here) to make a cornrows hairstyle for HUM/SYM. I basically chopped the model in half, removed the top braid, then replaced that braid with a new front to back full length braid. After that I edited the one remaining side to not curve at the top & fit properly next to the new braid, then I duplicated it & mirrored it, followed by resizing and repositioning the whole thing to make it fit properly on HUM/SYM face bases. I also had to unwrap the model and make a totally unique & custom UV texture for it. Also gave it a new dyt texture & made it colorable too of course which meant a new emm file. Basically, I replaced all the files except the model & majorly edited the model itself to make it into regular braids that run front to back. Was a lot harder than it should've been honestly given that the basis for the model was already done. It worked out though. Hope everyone enjoys it. CaliKingz01's base model is the whole reason I could get this done so full credit to him for that. I messaged CaliKingz01 to get approval for use of his model as my base but he doesn't appear to be active on here at the moment.

This is honestly something I just really wanted to have for myself. I doubt there will ever be a hairstyle like this included in these games by default so I thought I'd take a crack at it. Turned out pretty good so I thought I'd share. Always great to have options in my opinion. The preview video gives you a sneak peek at my Black Saiyan Transformable Hairstyles for CAC males mod. It will feature this hairstyle as well as an even & low fade base hairstyle as well as the featured SS1 & SS2 Afro hairstyles. There is no SS3 version yet simply because I'm undecided on how I want it to look. One may be included after the initial release.

Before you ask, yes my Saiyans have tails on the character creation screens. I will be releasing tailed versions of both the male & female default saiyan time patroller gear pants in my next SS4 Pack update.

Update: The SS4 Pack update that add tailed time patroller pants has been released.

Rename the files to whatever hairstyle you're looking to replace then place the files in you mod directory. Then just repack the cpk or launch the game if using XV2patcher.

1.5 - Added a scalp layer featuring sideburns and a unique & totally custom short hair texture. Made both textures more visible. Resized and repositioned the braids for a better look and fit. Shortened the braids in back to allow for only minimum clipping. There is an issue with the scalp layer texturing on one side. The cause is currently unknown. It looks fine in blender.

1.6 - Swapped dyt files to make the color match in game hairstyles.

This is EXACTLY what I needed for my character. I’ve been searching for a more…”ethnic” hairstyle for so long. I appreciate you doing this.

We need a HUF version, and dreadlocks or sum. Would be hard bro.

Hey dope mod, I remember using it before no problem but as I’m replaying the game again, I’m trying to install this mod but it’s not working. I replace it with a default hair slot and it won’t show up in game. Any reason? I’ve install another mod no problem fyi.

Actually I’ve figured it out, I assumed all the files in the HUM folder was the base hairstyles. The folder never showed the actual base hair files so I’m good. But I did initially replace what was originally in the HUM folder and it’s still there. Didn’t make a back up with what I replace so hopefully that doesn’t break my game. Sorry for bothering you.

  4. For Your Next Mod Maybe Make Some Dreadlocks i think it would be cool
