DBS Super Hero Soundtrack as Additional Music Tracks (23 Music Tracks!)
Hey folks. It's been a pretty hot minute since I've released a completely new music mod. In fact, the newest Dragon Ball movie released both in Japan and over here in the States in the time it's taken me to do so lol. Speaking of which, it was only just over a week ago that the movie released in the USA, and I got to go see it at the theater last Sunday. I already watched the movie when it initially came out in Japan, subbed through a poop camrip of the movie and I enjoyed it a lot, but needless to say, seeing the movie again through a way better format with actually good quality reignited my hype for it, and getting to see it with said good quality made me release that the movie has some pretty damn good music too, which brings me to today.
This music pack installs the entire ost from the movie as completely new music options (not replacers) into your game, playable in the lobby, battles, quests, and the Hero Colosseum, ripped directly from the movie's official soundtrack album, with a random track option as well. No seamless looping this time around, just like with my Tenkaichi packs and such. These music tracks are from a movie and weren't really made with looping in mind, so I think it's better to let them play out and restart again and again rather than cut out chunks of the music just to attempt making them sound like a proper loop.
There's something (somewhat) new I'm trying with this music pack this time around also, and that is that within the installer, there will be two options to either install every single track all at once, or just choose specific tracks that you'd like out of the entire list. I've experimented with the ability to choose your desired tracks in recent updates for my Dokkan pack (more out of necessity in that case than anything else), but I thought having options like this in my other mods would be beneficial for people who are only looking for specific music in a soundtrack and don't want to bloat their game with music they might not necessarily care about, and also considering that there is a limit to how many modded music tracks you can have in your game at a time. I'm definitely considering updating some of my older music packs to have these options as well, so if people take a liking to this feature, I'll go back and update them with this in mind for sure.
One more thing, if you're somebody who hasn't seen the new movie or cares about spoilers, I can't say I'd recommend this mod until you've seen it, since the names for some of these tracks are very very slightly spoilery (I highly doubt you've managed to completely avoid spoilers up until now regardless 💀 but just in case).
All that being said, enjoy the mod! And as always feel free to leave suggestions for what you'd like to see next, in the comments, in my Discord dms, wherever, and I'll give them thought for sure. I swear Raging Blast 2 is actually next this time btw lmao. Peace out!
Some quick, important notes/precautions before installing
- The audio cue editor's randomizing feature is a bit quirky. Sometimes, instead of picking a random song to play, the game will just choose to play nothing at all. If this ever happens to you, just go into the pause menu, and into your music options, then keep pressing the "Replay BGM" input until you start to hear music (for this pack in particular, a lot of the tracks take a bit to start regardless so I suggest waiting a bit every time you repeat the input). Re-select the random option from there and the issue should be alleviated.
- There is a bit of a cap to how many extra, modded music tracks you can install before the game starts kinda saying no to them. The installer will still tell you the music installed successfully, the tracks will show up as selectable options in-game, and can even be listened to with the "Replay BGM" input in the selection menu, but if you try to select any music track in-game that goes past a limit of 200+ (you may be able to get away with slightly more, but this is the general range I've observed) additional, modded music cues, the game will automatically choose to play one of the vanilla game's tracks instead, so basically, you can't actually play the game with that music. If this sounds like something that just so happens to be happening to you after installing and trying out one of my mods, keep that in mind if you have multiple music installer packs (like my other ones) installed at a time.
My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078
I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)
Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, choose from the two options given to either install every single track all at once, or choose specific ones from the selection. If you choose the latter, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!

Hi, sorry for the bother, but i wanted to ask a question. I installed the music using the installer in the download but when I play the song in the game, instead it’s just silent, regardless of the track I use. Am I doing something wrong?
