Dokkan Battle Additional Music Pack 2.0 (228 Music Tracks!)

‘Ey guys. It’s me, J-Man. It’s been a pretty hot minute ever since my first mod upload. That first mod pack was very relatively simple, pretty much just me testing the waters for making music mods with a small amount of tracks that were basically already in the game but just not selectable.

This one, though? Way more ambitious. This music pack aims to add the entirety of Dokkan Battle's soundtrack to Xenoverse as extra music options (think like Revamp's music expansion), which can all be played in the lobby, versus battles, quests, or the Hero Colosseum. Every single one of these music tracks is ripped directly from the original game (albeit with decreased volume to match XV2's base game music more) for the sake of getting the best possible audio quality, and also all include custom looping.

I made an active effort to be as comprehensive with this music pack as possible, and I definitely plan to keep it updated as more music is made for Dokkan. If there's any music I happened to miss or if there's anything I can improve, I'm all ears.

Words for my new update (7/29/22)

Yo guys, I'm back. So, remember when I said in my Raging Blast music pack that Raging Blast 2 was going to be the next thing I work on for sure? Yeah, well, I lied lol. It's been a decently hot minute since I had updated my Dokkan music pack, and it was starting to get outdated in some ways, so something within me was compelled to focus on making this big boy update for it.

This update has actually been basically finished and something I've been holding over for a while now, to be honest with you guys. It would've been released quite a bit earlier but then the RoF Blue Goku and Vegeta unit came out, new OSTs started to pour in, and I wanted to wait things out and see if any of these new OSTs would pop up in the global version, which hasn't happened yet so I said fuck it lol. This is where I find it worth noting that this music pack won't include tracks that are currently exclusive to the Japanese version of Dokkan. A very large chunk of Dokkan's data is stored inside of your device's root directory. Using a phone emulator is the safest way to access this root directory, but for whatever reason, the Japanese version of Dokkan (yes, specifically the Japanese version 🤪) really doesn't play nice with emulators, so I can't reach the data download and get these files to begin with. So, safe to say, wait until units are made global to expect them to get included in this pack (Japanese-exclusive tracks sometimes do get snuck into the global files before the units they're associated with are properly out though, which I tend to look out for, so you never know. Could get lucky sometimes.)

Alright, so you're probably wondering, what's so big about this new update? Well, first off, there's a bunch of new tracks here (check the changelog section for more specifics), obviously, but more importantly, I’ve decided to rework the installer to where you can pick and choose the tracks that you’d like to install, instead of just installing them all at once and flooding your music list with a bunch of tracks you may not care for. If you read the descriptions for my other mods, you may know that the game starts acting a little goofy with music tracks that are installed after around a 200 extra track threshold, and they basically won’t work properly. As you can probably assume, this didn’t bode well for a music pack for such a gigantic soundtrack as Dokkan, and it wouldn’t have been very compatible with other music installer mods or even future-proof in itself with the way I was doing things before. This is the solution I’ve settled on, and I’m pretty excited to be able to bring this to you guys, so I hope it was all worth the wait!

My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078

I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)

Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!

  2. SSBKruger says:

beautiful work man, Can you bring all the music but from the fighterz including those from the dlc?

  3. kuroseiga says:

it doesnt add the tracks in the game

  4. This mix is awesome. Can’t wait for you to add more.

  5. Just a small request. It took so much time to select all tracks so can you please set the installer in this way that all the tracks are already selected, and we can deselect any track we don’t want?

  6. This is so cool! I especially like that you can pick and choose which packs you want to download. Is the INT LR Tien Active Skill music in this by any chance? That’s one of my favorite songs currently and I’d love to actually have it in Xenoverse 2

  7. PsyKoPat0 says:

J-Man, can you explain how you made the music mod? i can’t find any updated tutorial, and apparently asking forums won’t help because not many people know how to make mods… 🙁

    1. J-Man9078 says:

I’ve thought about making a tutorial on the process before. I can’t at all promise it would be soon since it’s something that would take a shit ton of time, effort, energy, etc. to put together and it isn’t exactly my highest priority but I can tell there’s a pretty decent demand for it, and music installer mods aren’t the most well-documented thing from what I can tell so I’d be happy to put it out there sometime in the future. So I’d say join the Citadel Discord server and keep an eye out.

  8. astratos98 says:

did you play the ost of gogeta lr end of 7 years the intro active skill and the moment of the fusion

  9. Delita says:

I’ve never even played Dokkan, but this is hella sick.
Xenoverse stuff can get old after so many years have passed since it’s release…
Now I don’t have to mute my music anymore though! Many thanks!

    1. J-Man9078 says:

      No problem, my man.
Hell, I don’t even actually play Dokkan either, but the music goes way too hard to just be bound to a mobile game, so it was a bit of an obligation for me lol.

  10. ChuboKuway says:

The only thing that could improve this is a random option, if that’s even possible. Regardless, this is great and it is VERY appreciated. Keep it up!

    1. J-Man9078 says:

A random option would in fact be possible. I just didn’t initially include it since it would probably take quite a bit of time to put together, and I kinda just wanted to release the mod as it was for the time being and relax a bit. I’m down to keep that in mind for a future update though, so keep an eye out for that! Also, thank you for the support!

      1. J-Man9078 says:

Tiny update on this, not a very good one unfortunately. I was working on implementing a randomizer for this pack earlier and right now I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be possible for this pack in particular. The sheer volume of the music list has a lot to do with it. The audio cue editor has a weighting system for random cues, where you input a number value for a track which determines how likely it is for certain tracks to play compared to others. Of course, I want everything to have an equal chance of playing, but I came to realize this weighting system is a little quirky, for lack of a better word. All of the number values for every track you enter in a random cue have to add up together to make 100 or less. Now, this wouldn’t be an issue if it weren’t for the fact that for whatever reason, the program doesn’t accept decimals as valid number values here, so, uh oh. Over 150 tracks, I have to enter a whole number for every single one of these tracks for them to even play at all but all of these numbers together can’t equate to a number over 100? Every time I try to export the music package, the number values for each track in the random cue just default to 0, which means that when I try to select the random option in-game, nothing plays at all.
        Life is sad sometimes. 😔

  11. Gokujo says:

So can i run this and the music that comes with revamp or no

    1. J-Man9078 says:

I use Revamp and the music doesn’t conflict with each other at all, so it should work for you too.

  12. Yo this mod is dope, when are you gonna add the most recent OSTs (the 7 year LRs mostly) ?

    1. J-Man9078 says:

This is pretty late, but I plan on adding those OSTs as they get added to the global version of Dokkan. To elaborate a bit on the “complications” I mentioned in the description, a very large majority of Dokkan’s music isn’t stored in the APK itself, but rather, it gets saved into your device’s root data through the game’s data download process. Rooting an actual phone (which you need to do to access this data in the first place) is a really risky process, so I did the data download process through an Android emulator, used a rooting feature on that and got the data I did that way. It was the most simple and safe method I knew that could get the job done, HOWEVER, the recent updates of specifically the Japanese version (yeah these issues don’t come up on the Global version funnily enough) don’t like emulators very much, and so I can’t get past the title screen and be able to access the data download. So basically, the Global version of Dokkan is the only thing I can rely on to rip music from now for the time being, until I find some way to bypass the Japanese version’s restrictions or something. That was a lot to unpack but I hope that clears some things up, and I’m glad you enjoy the mod btw!

      1. Thanks for the reply! It’s fine tbh we can wait for it.

  13. Jgoofy says:

Y’know, I feel as if you could possibly become an XV2 DJ with these kinds of mods. The songs you upload are HQ and perfectly go with Xenoverse (surprisngly).

  14. Damn dude, this is sick. I installed and it goes great with the standard tracks. Uninstalled the old music mod I was using. I played Dokkan Battle a long time ago, but this music is really nice, and there is……so…..much to listen to.
