Raging Blast 2 Additional Music Pack (31 Music Tracks!)

Hey folks, it's me, back from hibernation again. So, many many months back (like 4 and a half to be exact, time flies lmao), I released a music pack for Raging Blast 1's soundtrack, and there, I promised that Raging Blast 2 would be the next music pack I do (it wasn't 😀). Music packs for the Raging Blast OSTs have been pretty high on my priority list for a long time now, but I'm a pretty lazy guy sometimes, and other times I'm pretty much dedicating my time to different things I wanna work on and all. With all that being said though, I've been getting in the mood to make new mods lately, and so, the Raging Blast 2 pack is finally here! Just for some clarification, by the way, if you're more familiar with the music that's in newer copies of this game post-Kenji Yamamoto firing, that's not what this pack is for (redirect to my Tenkaichi 2 pack for that, as BT2 is actually what that music is from). This music pack is for the original soundtrack that was made specifically for this game back when it first released. Anyway, like I mentioned in the description for my RB1 pack, I never owned these games back when they were new, or ever, really, before making these (I've played small parts of them in demos and such but never owned the full games), and just like with the first game, I tried out the second game so I could see what all the fuss was about, and also get acquainted with it's tunes (I couldn't really do that part since I could only get a version of the game with the BT2 soundtrack replacing it so lol). I'd say I personally still prefer the Tenkaichi games overall, but Raging Blast is still pretty fun and holds up pretty well today imo.

This music pack installs the entire og soundtrack (including vocal and instrumental versions of Battle of Omega, the opening song for the game) from Raging Blast 2 as completely new music options (not replacers) into your game, playable in the lobby, battles, quests, and the Hero Colosseum, ripped directly from the original game and it's official soundtrack album, with a random feature as well. The installer will also work just like it does in my recent Super Hero pack, where you have options between installing every single music track all at once, or just picking and choosing.

All that being said, enjoy the mod! And as always feel free to leave suggestions for what you'd like to see next, in the comments, in my Discord dms, wherever, and I'll give them thought for sure. I have plans for the next music pack I'm gonna do, but I'll leave that one a surprise for y'all, but as a tiny hint, it's a bit more of an obscure DB game than everything else I've covered so far. After that one, it's pretty much up in the air whatever I do so yeah.

Some quick, important notes/precautions before installing

  1. The audio cue editor's randomizing feature is a bit quirky. Sometimes, instead of picking a random song to play, the game will just choose to play nothing at all. If this ever happens to you, just go into the pause menu, and into your music options, then keep pressing the "Replay BGM" input until you start to hear music (for this pack in particular, a lot of the tracks take a bit to start regardless so I suggest waiting a bit every time you repeat the input). Re-select the random option from there and the issue should be alleviated.
  2. There is a bit of a cap to how many extra, modded music tracks you can install before the game starts kinda saying no to them. The installer will still tell you the music installed successfully, the tracks will show up as selectable options in-game, and can even be listened to with the "Replay BGM" input in the selection menu, but if you try to select any music track in-game that goes past a limit of 200+ (you may be able to get away with slightly more, but this is the general range I've observed) additional, modded music cues, the game will automatically choose to play one of the vanilla game's tracks instead, so basically, you can't actually play the game with that music. If this sounds like something that just so happens to be happening to you after installing and trying out one of my mods, keep that in mind if you have multiple music installer packs (like my other ones) installed at a time.

My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078

I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)

Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, choose from the two options given to either install every single track all at once, or choose specific ones from the selection. If you choose the latter, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!
