Tournament Mode – Addons
IMPORTANT: This mod does not contain any third party assets.
All tournaments require additional mods to be installed.
Tournament Mode - Addons adds 5 more tournaments to play with.
Each tournament has additional dependencies that need to be installed separately.
Beach Party: Fight against enemies enjoying the sun.
Cell Games: Fight against enemies participating in the Cell Games.
Fusion Tournament: Fight against enemies who have merged with other fighters.
Galaxy Tournament: Fight against enemies from Dragon ball GT.
Tournament of Power: Fight against enemies participating in the Tournament of Power.
Artificial Assault: Fight against enemies who have been created or modified.
At the Movies: Fight against enemies from the Dragon ball Z and Dragon ball: Super movies.
Known issues:
Xenoverse 2 has a limit of 192 parallel quests. If this limit is reached XV2 Installer will attempt to roll back the changes. However, this can fail and corrupt your game installation. If this occurs you will need to clear your installation and re-install all your mods. Due to this, you should be mindful of how many tournaments you can install at once.

Installation:
Install the required mods first.
Then install the X2M like normal.
V3 change: With the added support for custom characters, the list of requirements have grown substantially. Characters and Stages may be used across several tournaments. As such, you should install all of the listed mods if you want to use the Addon Tournaments. If the characters have custom skills, the AI should use them.
Revamp XV2 The following tournaments require Revamp XV2 (VGM Link) to be installed.

- Majin Android 21 (+associated skills)
- Galena (+associated skills)
- Buutenks (+associated skills)

You need the separate slot version of Bojack. The x2m name is 'Bojack (Full Power) (Transformed).x2m'

Only required if using the music version of the addons
This will require usage of the Audio Cue Editor (ACE) tool. You will need to open your CAR_BGM.acb (usually found in ~/data/sound/BGM). If you have RevampXV2 installed, you will already have this file, otherwise you will need to extract from the game's .cpk files using yace. After opening with ACE, you can add additional audio cues.
The music version of the parallel quests support the following audio cues:
200: Finale music will play on the last round of the tournament.
201: Intro tracks, will play at start of tournament.
202: Middle tracks. Will play at round 3 of 5 round tournaments and 4 and 6 of 10 round tournaments.
Other Recommended mods:
Permanent stage destruction - Great for the single stage tournaments because it shows you how much damage you've caused.
Less AI icons - Clean up your hud!
No Lock Icon - Get this to clean up your UI even further.
Tournament Mode - The original mod.

Continued playing again, got to round 10 of the Super Tournament, Red Ribbon Army Day, no one showed up.

I think I’ve finally worked out whats been causing some of the harder to track down issues.
In this case I think the problem is with Piccolo and the spawn problem is caused due to both pre and post transformation characters sharing the same slot.
I’ve seen a similar thing happen with SSGSE Vegeta.
I’ll try and get a fix out this weekend.

I also realised that the addon version of this quest wasn’t using custom stages or characters.
So now you’ll see the Revamp XV2 Artic and Red Ribbon Yard (Rain) maps as well as Legendary SSJ Kale, Base and Beserk Super Broly and Android 18 tracksuit.

Seems to have fixed it! I made it to the end of the Super tournament and saw the modded characters! (Also fought Orange Piccolo at the Red Ribbon Yard and it worked!)

Found a new bug in the “At the Movies” tournament. Round 3 (2/5 KOs), Red Ribbon Army (Rain), no one showed up.

Got a bug round 8 of the Expanded Base Game, Music Version, Super Tournament, at the red ribbon army base: Nobody showed up. Got all the mods and everything.

I’m assuming this is rain version of Red Ribbon Army Base?
I think there might be a spawn issue with Orange Piccolo.
He is meant to start from the Super Hero version but they’re in the wrong stage.

It was actually Red Ribbon Army Day, clear sky without rain, had the bug occur a second time today.

Hmm thats interesting.
During the day variant there is only 2 characters in round 8, Android 21 and Gohan (Super Hero).
I didn’t think this mattered but do you have the DLC with these characters?
Also want to double check if you rememered that the KO count showed 7/10 for round 8?

Also, do you remember if the game displayed the ‘Enemy spawned’ message?
I found another issue with the Gohan Beast spawn but again, thats only on the rain version of the stage.

Yeah I’ve got the DLCs, it displayed the enemy spawn. I might be misremembering and it might’ve been stage 9 instead since 8/10 means stage 9, I’ll play some more and see if I can get it again.

Alright I had it happen again, red ribbon army day, stage 10 this time. (Every run I get that gets far enough to be a win ends with this bug, so I still haven’t cleared the quest.)

I’m starting to think I uploaded the non custom version of the Super Tournament since there shouldn’t be any spawns for the day version of Red Ribbon Army base in round 10.

ugh I did upload the non expanded version of the Super Tournament.
The fix I’ve prepared should fix all versions of the Super Tournament.
I’ll try and upload the fixed version sometime this week.

As of 3.0.1 this should be fixed in the addons mod (+ music version) and the base game mod.

Played through, was able to complete it once, but on a second playthrough, I got to round 9 (8/10 KOs), destroyed tournament of power, and nobody showed up. Also, is the expanded base game supposed to contain modded characters, or just vanilla? (Asking since I didn’t get a singular modded character in my 2 playthroughs and 3 or 4 failed ones) Or are they just rare in the Super Tournament since most mods refer to Z and GT? (Like would it just be Berserk Kale?)

These character transformations are going to be the death of me I swear.
I’m going to have to double check all the character swap transformations.
Expanded Base Game tournaments are the same as the default tournament but they have extra spawns / stages.
Since a lot of them have large rosters already, you may go through an entire tournament without seeing custom content.
It is part of the reason why I made separate saga tournaments, so there’s smaller pools of characters that can show up.

Was fun while it lasted, updating the tournaments broke my XV2 again and I’m tired of clearing my mod installation and reinstalling everything every time this happens. I don’t think I hit the PQ limit because I’ve gotten them all in before and the only other PQs are from Revamp, and uninstalling the tournaments doesn’t fix the game, still get crash to desktop upon loading into the city. Glad I could help out finding bugs at least.

With all the mods installed, the game crashes on launch. I’ve cleared mods and reinstalled multiple times and it still fails. Using the music version.

Alright so I installed all the mods individually, and its actually the tournaments that crash the game, I was able to load every component mod just fine.

Alright so doing after this, I installed the tournaments one by one instead of all at once… and that seemed to make it work.

Was the crash as soon as you loaded into Conton City? If so that means you’ve hit the Parallel Quest limit.

Please make more PQ’s with modded stages, especially from Mastaklo he have tons of amazing Maps.

More tournaments with modded stages may come at some point. I’m keen to keep characters relevant to a stage and a lot of the other stages would require custom characters. I’ll probably revisit this with the next XV2 update.
