Ultimate Tenkaichi Additional Music Pack (29 Music Tracks!)

Hey guys, what's going on? I've returned with another "Tenkaichi" music pack. So, Ultimate Tenkaichi, right? One of the Dragon Ball games of all time? Yeah, lol, it's a game I would be hard-pressed to call the best Dragon Ball game, but it's also a game I have some pretty good memories with, and one that I personally still do have fun with to this day whenever I come back to it, but the thing regarding the game that I think pretty much everybody universally agrees is great, is it's soundtrack. This shit is pretty top-tier, so yeah, here's my own take on a music pack featuring it.

You know the drill. This installs the entire Ultimate Tenkaichi ost as completely new music options (not replacers) into your game, playable in the lobby, battles, quests, and the Hero Colosseum, ripped directly from the original game, with a random track option as well. Now, the looping situation here is similar to what I had to do with my Tenkaichi 2 and 3 packs. The way the tracks loop in the original game isn't seamless, the music just ends and then starts playing again, and repeats from there. So, to capture the spirit of the original game and it's music, I also let the entire tracks play out so you can listen to them in their full lengths, with some edits to loop starting points in a handful of tracks to make it feel more natural during gameplay. Like I said, this is pretty much the same thing I had to do with my other Tenkaichi packs, and people seem to really like those, so hopefully you guys will enjoy this too!

The installer has three options (baked within one installer and not split into multiple installers this time. I finally went out of my way to learn how to use install steps lol). The first option is just what you'd expect, the regular option that installs every single track from Ultimate Tenkaichi as normal. The second option is intended for users of the Xenoverse 2 Revamp mod, who installed Revamp's own music expansion. This second option omits Edge of Spirit, a track included in Revamp's music expansion, from the installation, leaving only Revamp's version of the track. This way, you won't have to worry about this pack making it so that you have two music slots of the exact same music track in your game and causing redundancy. You'll still be able to get this track in the random feature as well though. For the third option, you can simply just pick and choose each individual track that you want.

I'll probably be working on packs for the Raging Blast games next. After thinking about it for a bit, these games were some of the next things that popped into my mind in terms of really good Dragon Ball music (and DB games in general, in a way) after some of the older Budokai and Tenkaichi games, so they're next in line. Plus, I know there was a guy that commented on one of my mods outright requesting them, so if you're reading this, you know who you are. I just felt like covering Ultimate Tenkaichi first, since it's soundtrack is one I'm a little more inclined to. Remember, you guys can always feel free to make suggestions for my next music pack in the comments or on Discord and I'll likely put them into consideration even if I don't directly reply, so feel free to do that if you want to. Anyway, see you guys next time. Bye!

Some quick, important notes/precautions before installing

  1. The audio cue editor's randomizing feature is a bit quirky. Sometimes, instead of picking a random song to play, the game will just choose to play nothing at all. If this ever happens to you, just go into the pause menu, and into your music options, then keep pressing the "Replay BGM" input until you start to hear music. Re-select the random option from there and the issue should be alleviated.
  2. There is a bit of a cap to how many extra, modded music tracks you can install before the game starts kinda saying no to them. The installer will still tell you the music installed successfully, the tracks will show up as selectable options in-game, and can even be listened to with the "Replay BGM" input in the selection menu, but if you try to select any music track in-game that goes past a limit of 200+ (you may be able to get away with slightly more, but this is the general range I've observed) additional, modded music cues, the game will automatically choose to play one of the vanilla game's tracks instead, so basically, you can't actually play the game with that music. If this sounds like something that just so happens to be happening to you after installing and trying out one of my mods, keep that in mind if you have multiple music installer packs (like my other ones) installed at a time.

My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078

I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)

Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, choose from the three options given to either install every single track all at once, install every track at once except for Edge of Spirit (for if you use Revamp's music expansion), or choose specific ones from the selection. If you choose the third option, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!

1.0: Release

1.1: Installer has been reworked to where you have options between installing every single track all at once (just like before), or picking and choosing specific tracks you’d like in your game the most.

As an FYI to everyone, this mod also works with the FighterZ music replacement 1.0 mod. It just adds all this packs music to the end of the list. Not sure if it works with other music replacement mods though as the FighterZ is the only one i use.
