This modifies Kiryu’s skin textures to add scales, showing off his half-dragon heritage. Includes 6 different eye colors with 2 different sclera colors to choose from. Remove the eye texture if you want to keep his eyes human. (Made and tested for Yakuza Kiwami 2. Untested for Yakuza 6, but the installation structure should be the same)

No clothes have been modified, so this can be used in combination with other costume mods. Just let my mod take priority by placing it in the bottom of the load order to ensure that the scales will show up (some mods may require more tinkering to make every texture show up, usually it’s just replacing some of their skin textures with mine).

KNOWN ISSUES:

• Some character models will share the same skin and eye textures as Kiryu, so you will see other characters with scales on their hands or have modded eyes if you installed an eye texture
• Neck seam when shirtless, I’m too lazy to match up the scales perfectly
• Like every appearance mod, pre-rendered cutscenes will be unaffected by this mod, so the scales and eyes will revert back to vanilla for the duration of the cutscenes

1. Create a folder named “mods” in your Yakuza Kiwami 2 directory (where the YakuzaKiwami2.exe file is located)
2. Extract my “halfdragonkiryu_texture” folder into the “mods” folder
   1. Customize the eye color if you want
3. If you have not yet edited your db.par to fix texture display issues, extract "db.par" into the "data" folder
4. Download RyuModManager and extract all its contents into your YK2 directory
5. Add the line “halfdragonkiryu_texture” to “ModLoadOrder.txt”
   1. Place it at the bottom of the load order if you want it to show up with other costume mods
6. Run “RyuModManagerCLI.exe”
7. Open game and test (on the menu screen, scales should show up on Kiryu’s back on the second fade-in)
