So this mod has been sitting on my hard drive for way too long already. I started working on this custom bridge back in February, but slowly lost motivation to continue working on it as these files are globally loaded. This brings the advantage that they will not unload when you move too far away. Normally i bundle map edits with a location nearby, but as this one is so massive this wasn´t possible. The disadvantage is that it they will not unload, meaning for every singly map edit i have to restart the game, and doing all of this in notepad++ gets tiring after some time. I am publishing it as i don´t want it to just sit there on my drive and not being publicly released so others can enjoy it as well.
This mod was available on Freeroam Unlimited for a while already, but i figured i might as well publicly release it for more people to enjoy.
But what is this mod about anyways? It adds a bridge, connecting the first island (Insula Fonte) with the main island, Insule Striate, which is normally completely cut off, when using (unmodded) land vehicles at least and i wanted to see a bridge between these too for a while now.
The road is done and the stabilizers are over 90%, however the lamps are the problem, their interaction is broken, and as soon as they break, so do their physics. I tried making them invincible, which did nothing apparently and removing their colission crashes the game near the southern Insula Fonte village of Colle Salrosa, since that is the bridge i cloned for it.
I definitely will finish this mod sometime, but right now i do not really have the motivation for it and would rather focus on other, smaller mods.
