Alternate Names Mod

Originally I intended this to just be for personal use thinking that most people might not want these changes but I doesn't cost me anything to share and maybe I'll be surprised to find people using it.

The mod simply changes the names of the Following: Kid Buu, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan

It doesn't change any stats or levels or anything, literally just the text that you'll see in the skill tree, skill palette and the limitbreak stuff for the dlc and it's just for people who have the game on "English"

I have updated the mod with update v2.1

I also took the liberty of fixing some mistakes in the load screen summaries and making some sound much better than vanilla, I have also made it so the Son family have their formal names in the Z-Encyclopedia "Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Son Goten"

Compatibility:

I've been asked if this mod is compatible with Limitless, unfortunately no. To have the changes in this mod in Limitless I would need to extract the text from Limitless and get permission from the creator to post the mod separately

This mod is just for the main game experience.

the initial inspiration was to fix the ridiculous and nonsensical names of the god forms, with the others popping up as an after thought.

1.)

Super Saiyan God is now "Divine Saiyan"

and

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is now "Divine Super Saiyan"

Inspiration/reason for my names:

Changed for a few reasons, firstly the description of the forms, if SSGSS is a SSG using the power of a SUPER SAIYAN means SUPER SAIYAN GOD IS NOT A SUPER SAIYAN form, it's merely a saiyan utilizing Godly ki as it's description confirms hence why the appearance of the users hair doesn't change besides its color. I like to think of the Divine Saiyan form like Kaioken, it's not so much a form in itself but more just a shift in Ki type resulting in a boost in strength (A saiyan switching from regular ki to utilizing Godly Ki).

The "Super Saiyan God" being more of a title a person had than the forms name, like how "Legendary Super Saiyan" was the title of the first saiyan to use the form from the legend.

"Divine Saiyan" is basically just a saiyan that has Godly ki, that is their base state.

I would then refer to a saiyan in the state as Divine (Name) such a Divine Goku/Vegeta for short hand.

SSGSS was changed because , the name is ridiculously long and frankly sounds very dumb (Super Saiyan Blue isn't much better, we don't call super saiyan "Super Saiyan Yellow") and I'm pretty sure Toriyama just called it that because he couldn't think of anything (Or he just didn't care/thought it was funny). SSGSS is a "Super Saiyan God using the power of a super saiyan"  following the logic of my previous naming scheme the obvious answer is

"Divine Super Saiyan"

It's short, it's simple and it conveys what the form is, a Super Saiyan that is using Divine energy. Much easier to say and write than Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, and not silly like the "Just name it after it's color" deal they had during Super. Not to mention it explains why visually it's literally just Super Saiyan but Blue.

2.)

Kid Buu has been changed to "Majin Buu (Origin)"

I never hated the name "Kid Buu" it just didn't really make sense to me, if any of the forms is like a child its the (Innocent) form. Considering this is Majin Buu's ORIGINAL form that should be the name he has, I like to think of it like Girantina (Origin forme) from Pokemon, just a small change I personally like. Not to mention I don't think there's a single time they refer to this form as "Kid Buu" in the anime.

3.)

and lastly the changes I imagine most people would not like

Super Saiyan 2 is changed to "Ultra Super Saiyan"

and

Super Saiyan 3 is changed to "Ultimate Super Saiyan"

My reason for these is that the number system 1, 2, 3 etc. while effective is kinda boring and uninspired, I wanted to see if I could think of new names that give the forms a more unique feel and differentiate them more besides the allotted number.

Super Saiyan 2 isn't that visually that different from super saiyan 1 and it's essentially described as a level beyond Super Saiyan

"Ultra" being defined as "going beyond others or beyond due limit" like Gohan did when he was the first to break through that barrier to reach that new level of strength. Ultra Super Saiyan conveys that this new form is a stronger iteration of Super Saiyan, a new realm beyond the mythical super saiyan.

Super Saiyan 3 was changed to "Ultimate Super Saiyan" to convey the pure strength of this form, it is the ultimate level of the Super Saiyan form the last and strongest iteration of a modern Saiyans power.

It also adds some consistency with "Ultimate Gohan", Goku gaining his own Ultimate form in his own way and Gohan his. Goku referred to the form as "This is the Ultimate form". And I just think it sounds cool, like what sounds stronger "super saiyan 3 its super saiyan version 3.0"  or ULTIMATE SUPER SAIYAN!

and that's it I hope someone else likes these names like I do, If you don't that's cool.

P.S My personal name for Super Saiyan 4 is "Primal Super Saiyan" (Saiyan goes unga bunga and uses all their strength like ssj3 but also taps into latent power from ancient saiyans and the Ozaru to create this primal form, so much cooler :3 and by extension the limit break forms would be called Divine Primal Super Saiyan given its a Primal Super Saiyan who is also utilizing God Ki)

Navigate to the device you downloaded your game, go into Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> DRAGON BALL Z KAKAROT -> AT ->Content -> PAKS -> ~mods -> AAA

Don't have a ~mods and or AAA folder? make them and insert the file.
