This project was designed to optimize the elements of Sm4sh we love while minimizing the elements that are problematic or that reduce its competitive viability, all while retaining the feel of the original game.

Characters with traditionally poor matchup spreads have been carefully revised with input from top level players and character specialists. Frustrating mechanics, counter-competitive gimmicks, unintentional rage-related bugs and inconsistent hitboxes/hurtboxes have all received considerable time and attention in order to make playing Sm4sh as fun and competitive as possible without abandoning the core experience.

This mod targets the player who loves the game but wishes it had been something more.
