SYM Brawler moveset
Here's a moveset that incorporates a lot of punches and moves that give that "brutal" feel. No super pretty kicks or martial arts combinations, just pure rushdown! (Also, have you guys noticed how most of the fighters in Dragon Ball are just brawlers? Vegeta is a brawler as he was never formally trained in martial arts, all of the villains are brawlers, the universe 6 saiyans also. Lots of 'em.)
It's compatible with SSJ3 and should be compatible with saiyan tails as everything I used has built-in tail compatibility, but since I don't use tails I can't guarantee it. ALSO, the 4th hit of the heavy combo, while amazing for comboing into stamina breaks or skills, will make the first kick of the light 6 attack miss and only the second kick will hit. You can still go through the rest of the combo normally without issues, but if you want to land both kicks you'll have to slightly delay it. I tried to demonstrate it in the video.
Simply drag and drop into your "SYM" folder. If you have everything you need for modding, it should be inside the "Chara" folder, which is inside the "data" folder.
1.5 changes:
- Beast mode compatibility added! You won't have access to the exclusive combo, but all of the buffs are intact. Two versions added, one that changes the stance to beast mode's and one that keeps the moveset's default stance.
1.6 changes:
- Swapped the running animation with SSJ4 Vegeta's, as I'm fairly certain that should fix any weird issues with the tail while running. The beast stance file is unchanged, though, sorry about that.

honestly, a version of this moveset, but for human males would be perfect for one of my characters.

just like the SYF movesets, this one is compatible with Human males once the files are appropriately renamed.
Just tested it. Now i can give people the boot as i want.

Command Ki charge and ironing out the tail animations would make it 10/10

Thanks! I have no idea how to do that command ki charge thing, but since I try to keep my movesets as close to the vanilla game’s style as possible I can’t say I’ll implement them in the near future, unfortunately. As for the tail animations, what part exactly needs ironing out? The only thing tail related I have is a frieza character xD

Yeah, I don’t see it too often and my own attempt to set it up didn’t work out so well, so I just live vicariously through other modders lol.
As for the tail animations, another person mentioned it here, just the ground animations are a lil’ stiff. But as you said in reply to them, it’s not like you’re on the ground too much anyway, so it’s a very minor nitpick!
But yeah a lot of Brawler movesets either only include punches or go over the top with big launching moves and everything, or they make the grabs the Gogeta ones etc. I like that yours is just a very straight-forward, close combat expert style, nothing too fancy but still beefy looking!

Oh, yeah. I tried swapping the running animation with SSJ4 Vegeta’s real sneaky like to see if that fixed it since the character basically has built-in tail support in all of his animations from the developers themselves.
As for other brawler movesets out there… I can’t say I disagree xD hence why I just decided to make my own stuff and after thinking about it I figured I might as well share it so those who think like me can enjoy something nice!
Also as a little side note I kinda hate it when modders default to either Goku’s UI or Gogeta’s stance and that “teleport behind you and kick you like an ultra badass” grab some of them have. The stance is just plain boring and you just can’t use a grab as a universal thing for your mods cuz then there’s just no flair or character in the moveset, if that makes any sense.

I hate the prevalence of that stance and that *exact* grab so much too! That is the exact one I was thinking of when I mentioned a lot of them changing the grabs, lol.
But yeah, the closest I found to one I liked was Dexio’s “no legs” moveset, but ironically the problem there was that it lived up to it’s name – there being no kicks, like, at all, made the moveset feel surprisingly bland and character-less.

Finally someone understands! A lot of movesets just use Gogeta’s or Goku UI stance and its just so bland. Plus, they don’t add the respective facial expressions either. I think the CAC having facial expressions give them more life and personality.

I really like this moveset! Aggressive yet not completely crazy like most punchy movesets. My only complaint is that the tail doesn’t really move when running on the ground. But other than that its pretty good!
