Raging Blast 1 Additional Music Pack (30 Music Tracks!)

Hey fellas. So, I promised in my last music pack that I'd be covering the Raging Blast soundtracks next for these packs. Well, here they are (for the first game)! Now, feel free to crucify me, but my exposure to the Raging Blast games compared to most of the games of the other music packs I've made is, in fact, actually pretty minimal. I do remember playing the demos for the games a lot back then and having a ton of fun with them, for what it's worth, but I never owned the full versions of the games back when they were still fresh, so take that for what you will lol. For the record though, very recently, I've played through the first Raging Blast's story to familiarize myself with the game and it's music before making this pack, and safe to say, the game isn't perfect, but it definitely still holds up and I had a good time with it, and I have high expectations for when I do the same thing with 2. Oh yeah the music is pretty good too, which is what brings us here today.

This music pack installs the entire ost (including vocal and instrumental versions of Progression, the opening song for the game) from Raging Blast 1 as completely new music options (not replacers) into your game, playable in the lobby, battles, quests, and the Hero Colosseum, ripped directly from the original game, with a random track option as well. This game's soundtrack is just like the Tenkaichi ones in the sense that I also had to use my patented "technically looping but also kinda not" technique here, since these original games didn't have seamless looping for their music. The music would just end and replay repeatedly, so I'm basically doing something similar here. You can read the description for my last mod if you want to see me be slightly more nerd mode about my process 🤓. On top of all that, there will be two options within the installer, allowing you to either install every single track all at once, or just choose some specific ones you'd like out of the entire list.

Anyway, this probably goes without saying, but Raging Blast 2 is next. What game soundtracks do you guys want me to do after that though? Feel free to let me know in the comments or in my Discord dms and I'll consider the suggestions. For now though, I'm out. Enjoy!

Some quick, important notes/precautions before installing

  1. The audio cue editor's randomizing feature is a bit quirky. Sometimes, instead of picking a random song to play, the game will just choose to play nothing at all. If this ever happens to you, just go into the pause menu, and into your music options, then keep pressing the "Replay BGM" input until you start to hear music. Re-select the random option from there and the issue should be alleviated.
  2. There is a bit of a cap to how many extra, modded music tracks you can install before the game starts kinda saying no to them. The installer will still tell you the music installed successfully, the tracks will show up as selectable options in-game, and can even be listened to with the "Replay BGM" input in the selection menu, but if you try to select any music track in-game that goes past a limit of 200+ (you may be able to get away with slightly more, but this is the general range I've observed) additional, modded music cues, the game will automatically choose to play one of the vanilla game's tracks instead, so basically, you can't actually play the game with that music. If this sounds like something that just so happens to be happening to you after installing and trying out one of my mods, keep that in mind if you have multiple music installer packs (like my other ones) installed at a time.

My Discord's always open for concerns, questions, feedback, suggestions, or just general chatting, so don't be scared to hit me up if you want to: J-Man#9078

I want to also note here that my DMs are open for anybody. You don't have to send me a friend request to drop a message. I say this because I do tend to get a lot of fairly random friend requests and I would much prefer it if you sent me a message before/along with a friend request since a lot of the time I'm not really 100% sure if I want to accept random friend requests without knowing for sure the context of them. Thanks. :)

Download the .rar file from the MEGA page, then run the mod installer (double click the .exe file while the .installinfo file is in the same file location) from within it. From there, choose from the two options given to either install every single track all at once, or choose specific ones from the selection. If you choose the latter, select the music tracks you'd like to install, and you're set!

1.0: Release

1.1: Installer has been reworked to where you have options between installing every single track all at once (just like before), or picking and choosing specific tracks you’d like in your game the most.

As far as the next soundtrack is concerned? It’d have to be a toss-up between Burstlimit’s or Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission’s, but I’m sure a mod is already out there for the latter. Something to keep in mind is that Raging Blast 2 actually has two different versions, one with the original OST, and a rerelease that came out after the Kenji Yamamoto scandal. Just a heads up if you weren’t aware beforehand, but otherwise good luck! I’m also looking forward to the Dokkan pack’s eventual update.

    1. UFOPiXEL says:

Oh yeah didn’t Kenji Yamamoto plagiarized famous musicians for his own music

  3. Lito says:

I beg of you. Can you please get the Dragon Ball Final Bout Music Pack.

I know it’s super retro, but man, were those a classic.

Please & Thank you in advance.
