XV2 Super Soul Editor
A tool used to edit, create, and share XV2 Super Souls.
I saw that ZSoulTool 2 wasn't likely to be updated anymore, so I grabbed Mugen's ZSoulTool source and decided to try my hand at making my own up do date soul editor.
Features:
-Edit just about every possible part of the super souls.
-Support for Limit Bursts
-Added quite a few new Effects and Activators that I found while toying with super souls.
-Export/import souls to share with friends.
-Search bar for quickly finding super souls
-Support for creating all new Limit Bursts
-Support for batch exporting super souls as well as limit bursts for each.
-Now works with LazyBone's transformations mod installed

- Install the XV2 Patcher. this is required and will not work without it
- Start the program and create souls.
- save your edits and start the game with the XV2 Patcher active
1.20 - Fixed a huge error with the message code that would mess up the msg entry names for the souls. As a result I had to disable Switch support for now, but I'll try to get it working again soon.
1.20a - Updated and added about 15 new Effects to use. these include activating/nullifying certain status ailments and changing damage taken/received from all or certain skill types.
1.30 - Updated the names of some Effects and Activators that hopefully makes them a bit easier to understand. Tool will now auto load the correct files from the game directory after you set it. If the files are not already in the data folder then the tool will read the files from the cpk.
Fixed bug that caused errors when trying to edit the name/description of a super soul with different name and description IDs. (Thanks lazybone)
1.40 - Updated for some of the new effects and activators added in XV2 1.13 new search bar added, support for creation of custom Limit bursts, Batch export feature added, and various typos and small bug fixes to hopefully better user experience.
1.41 - various bug fixes
1.42 - another bug fix
1.50 - updated UI to hopefully make things easier to use. added ability to change super souls to use one of the 5 basic limit bursts (found under limit burst options). added option to add or remove the current super soul to the item shop (found under super soul options). fixed bug with quotation marks in names and descriptions and a bug where some text boxes weren't saving.
1.51 - fixed a bug where Super Soul IDs were not assigned properly when creating/adding a new Super Soul. Added and renamed Some Activation Method names to hopefully make them easier to understand.
1.61 - Added "Copy Super Soul to clipboard and paste as new Super Soul". Added "Create new Super Soul (as Limit Burst)". Added the ability to create new Limit Burst MSG entries for an existing Super Soul. Fixed MSG de-sync issue.
1.7 - Removed "Limit Burst Options" toolbar selection and replaced it with the new "Limit Burst Quick Change" drop down box on the Super Soul Details tab. Changed the "Aura" and "Unknown" boxes that used to be on the Basic and Effect Details Tabs to more accurately define what they are used for. New effect types added (some that were previously shown as "???") and some effect names changed to hopefully better help understand what they are.
1.71 - Small fix that re-adds the Copy and Paste options in "Super Soul Options" that were in version 1.6 I accidentally removed them in 1.7, sorry.
1.75 - Re-added removed feature "Create New Super Soul (For Limit Burst)" found under "Super Soul Options" - Removed IDs from view of the "Limit Burst Color", "Ki Blast Type", "Target", and "EEPK to Use" dropboxes. - Added EffectData.xml internally and removed the uneeded external copy. (The external copy can still be read if present inside the same directory as the exe.) - Updated and renamed some values in the EffectData.xml. Older versions will not work anymore. - Basic other small UI changes.
1.75b - added new super souls effects and activators
1.8 - Support for XV2 1.18.00. (Version 1.8 will no longer work for any version below 1.18.00. This is due to the new IDB format.) - Support for new super soul Effects and Activators IDs added in XV2 1.18.00. - Race Lock now uses checkboxes for each race type instead of a number value. - Support for Importing SSP files made in older versions of the Editor so that you don't have to remake Souls. - Other misc adjustments and fixes.

For those of you asking how to download…. how do you not know how to download this? See the big orange button that says download? CLICK IT!!!!! i know simple right!?!?! some of you are def not rocket scientists. If you dont know how to download this tool how the hell do you expect to use it? In fact if you dont know how to download mods of any kind you shouldnt be using mods at all. Sorry to be so harsh, but seriously….. its not complicated if you dont know what you’re doing you’re going to screw up and break your game.
To those saying theres multiple copies of HEHE sunglasses… yeah because you’re using mods. Do not us or edit any super souls that dont have a legit ID number not even the ones with 0. Youll crash the editor and if you try to add those to ur game youll crash your game. Learn how to actually do this stuff before you even attempt to download this stuff because youll save yourself from looking dumb and asking dumb questions. This mod is littered with people who dont have a clue as to what their doing, there are guides that teach you how to mod and do all of this. READ THEM!

Can I Ask You, Previous Version Of Super Soul That I Already Created, Can I Still Use in New Version Of The Game.?

The mod works perfectly, but suddenly it started making copies of the super soul like A LOT. Don’t know how to fix it (Probably will need to just uninstall and reinstall again for fix) because now it gives an error do to how many it copied. I also would like to know what the other options do when editing the stats, like the ‘Unknown’ stat and the ‘Assist effect 1-6’ because I’m trying to make it do a specific thing that’s not listed within the settings. If anyone knows anything about this I’d appreciate any help.

You cant fix it, the reason why there are so many copies is because you are modding.

1. Because you are using mods, there for its going to create mass amounts of copies. Do not use them. The super souls work just fine, just dont use any or try to edit any souls that dont have an actual ID number next to them not even ones with 0.
2. If the super souls dont work for you its because you dont know how to use the tool the way its meant to be used. Sorry if that sounds harsh but theres a lot of you who shouldnt even be doing this because you dont know what you’re doing and will most likely break your game and tools.

uhhh hello i think i might have messed up my xv2 saved editor. i accidentally used 1.75 instead of 1.80. And now when i try to open up 1.80 it says “unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. if you click quit, the application will close immediately”. “source array was not long enough. check srclndex and length, and the arrays lower bounds”

For those who cant get this to work for 1.8. This is what you need to do.
Go to your DBXV2 folder, Then select Data, Then System. Inside the system folder remove the file named talisman_item.idb It should then work for you once again.

When I click “export to super soul package file” a pop up saying “Unhandled exception has ocurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.”
Then when it shows me the list of super souls to export, I can’t see the one I just edited. Has anyone run into this issue? If so, have you found a way to fix it?

anyone know how to make super souls work with specific forms? like, if i wanted my super soul to activate with Super Vegeta 1 & 2 but not with Super Saiyan. Any help would be appreciated.

the mods is broken. i cant get it to work. wants to say i didnt set the path right when i do. only problem is that the save data cant be accessed when setting the path only the folder its in.

you got the lazybones mod right? if yes you got to delete the item folder in data/system, then reinstall the new transformations mod

idk if this is a definitive fix but yesterday i downloaded the revamp teams mod and now all my super souls are showing up normally again. Previously none of my super souls were named or present and i got the same error everyone else was getting.
as i said idk if this is a sure fix but clear installation on all your mods, uninstall any of your installers, then download the revamp mods and follow how you usually would download it & then see if your super souls show up in the editor
